This is our inkle loom, it is built for years of heavy use.
Warp can be over 110" long and 5" wide on this loom.
This loom looks great and includes one shuttle. One edge of
the shuttle is tapered to function as a beater and has a hand
rubbed wax finish. We also include an instruction booklet at
no extra cost that has information on warping, weaving, and
the care and feeding of the Inkle loom. It also contains 7 weaving
patterns.
This inkle loom is made of red oak, with oak dowels, and finished
with at least four coats of Tung oil (Shuttle, warping instructions and patterns included.)

The hand loom is the smallest loom in our inkle loom family and measure only 11"X7.5" with the tension rod it is less than five inches in depth. This loom looks great and includes one shuttle. This loom has adjustable pegs to allows for a variety of lengths. One edge of the shuttle is tapered to function as a beater. Frame Loom
Our tapestry frame loom is eighteen inches wide and thirty-six inches tall. Its portable size makes it ideal for small tapestries or other projects. Shipped unwarped and finished with a paste wax then buffed to a low gloss. (Shuttle and warping instructions included.)

Our tapered armed niddy nody is handcrafted from hardwood. The tapered ends on this style of niddy-noddy make for easy skien removal and the heads are removable for easy storage. With a length of eighteen inches and multiple layers of polyurethane its has a smooth and lasting finish that holds yarn securely without snagging.

Lucet is a method of cordmaking or braiding which is believed to date back to the Viking and Medieval periods, when it was used to hang useful items from the belt. Lucet cord is square, strong, and slightly springy. It closely resembles knitted I-cord or the cord produced on a knitting spool. Lucet cord is formed by a series of loops, and will therefore unravel if cut. A lucet fork is normally made of wood, with two prongs at one end and a handle on the other. Replacement Tension Bar
We are now offering a replacement tension bar for our inkle looms. These 1 1/4" oak tension bars are center bored and then a 5/16" steel rod is placed in them. Tthey are then capped with a wooden knob for better grip when applying tension to an inkle loom. The 5/16" rod is threaded and fits through the slot on the inkle loom where it is tightened onto another knob. These heavy duty tension rods are built to withstand the great tensions that some inkle weaving projects may create. Please choose a stain to match your inkle loom.
