Gable Hood The (Tudor) gable hood was popular during the first decades of the 16th century (about 1520-1540) and was worn by well-to-do Englishwomen. Unlike other types of headgear the gable hood was predominantly brown or gold and was seldom made of fabric that matched the gown worn with it. Our gable hood is made of brocade while the inside crown is of a matching solid color and comes slightly padded to offer both comfort and secure placement, and the lappets are made of velvet like material. Both faux perls and appropriate trim are used to give this hood the right affect. For added protection from the elements and travel the gable part of this hood has a plastic canvas frame. Price: $55.00
